When
you are in a wheelchair you want to feel safe. There are many different
safety systems available that will help to give you that ‘safe'
feeling.
Anti-tip wheels
Our Price: Rs 4750 |
To prevent your wheelchair from tipping over backward, you can opt to have one or two anti-tip Fighter Wheelchair
in situations where you lose your balance and are in danger of tipping
over backward. Depending on your wheelchair setting, you will need this
safety device to a greater or lesser extent. You may not always need
these wheels in every situation, which is why there are a number of
options for this application. The standard anti-tip wheels are height
adjustable, but they can also be fully retracted in the wheelchair
frame. Not only does this make it easier when transporting the
wheelchair, but without the anti-tip wheels, the wheelchair looks very
different.
wheels mounted. These wheels will protect you and your
Lateral support
To
give you a safe feeling when riding in your wheel chair, you need to sit
comfortably. That’s where it all starts. When turning corners you need
lateral support. A set of side guards will give your lower body from
your hips that extra support.
To
give your upper body extra support, we have unique open backrests. The
shape of this backrest and the material used enable you to sit as it
were with your back in the backrest instead of against it. As a result,
you will notice that your upper body also receives lateral support. The
extent of the wedge seat adjustment (the difference between front and
rear seat height) determines the extent to which you use the backrest
for this.
Our Price: Rs 5100 |
To
prevent the wheelchair from tipping sideways around corners, choose
camber. The skew angle of the rear wheels (available at 0, 3, 6 and 9
degrees) will stop this tendency. The more camber, the less the
wheelchair will tip sideways.
Seat belt and headrest
To
provide even more safety, especially when travelling by car, choose a
lap seat belt accessory for your wheelchair. This will prevent you from
falling forward out of your 809 Wheelchair.
Seat belts are compulsory when driving in a car, as is a headrest. Do
you wish to remain in your wheelchair when travelling by car? No
problem! Your wheelchair will need to be fitted with an AMF fastening
system.
Push bar
Our Price: Rs 9180 |
Do
you not feel sufficiently safe when you go out in your wheelchair and
would you rather have someone assist you? Then opt to equip your
wheelchair with a removable push bar. This is height adjustable and has
the perfect shape for pushing your wheelchair. The hand position of the
assistant is straight. On most wheelchairs, the push bar requires a
twisted hand position, which may cause problems with the assistant’s
arms. With our push bars, the push handles will not suddenly shoot out
of your hands.
Front wheels
Choosing the correct front wheels contributes to the safety of your Elevated Footrest Wheelchair.
Wheelchairs often get stuck between pavements or sink into soft ground,
resulting in your wheelchair coming to an abrupt halt and sometimes it
even tilts forward. Broader and larger front wheels will reduce this
risk. An added advantage is that broader and larger front wheels offer
you a quieter and more comfortable ride. Our product range includes a
large choice of front wheels.
Quality, NEN, ISO, Crash test
Perhaps
the most important factor for wheelchair safety is quality. You do not
want your wheelchair to break down when you really depend on it. This is
what we find so important! That is why our wheelchairs are developed
and tested by independent institutes based on the international EU
directive 93/42/EEC on medical aids. TÜV Rheinland tests the O4
wheelchairs according to the European wheelchair standard EN 12182. In
addition, we also regularly test our wheelchairs using our own test
methods. By complying with these requirements, O4 wheelchairs guarantee
high quality. You are thus assured of a high-quality and safe
wheelchair.
